HOLY COW!!!!!!!! been following along and been checking the camera about once a week. but now that its all really starting get pieced together, WOW. gets closer everyday.

truly amazing. well worth the 3 hours it took me to get caught up to speed on everything. I find your openness, willingness to answer each question and hospitality to be a breath of very fresh air. Seems like the system itself and vision it took to get to this point are reflective of the person who dreamed of it in the first place. All the best!

This has to be one of the most outrageous aquariums i have ever seen -

Im kinda confused though about the house its going in-

If you are building one of the most technically advanced, expensive, and elaborate aquariums ever conceived - why is it being put in this dumpy, run-down, ghetto building? Is this your house????

If you have this kind of cash to blow, why are you living in a slum? The tank is probably worth more than the entire neighborhood - i just dont understand why your spending a massive fortune on an aquarium if thats the environment that you live in?????

Dont get me wrong, it is a tremendous accomplishment, and very exciting - i just thought its in a really strange place.

I mean no offense by my post, just curious thats all - it seems like there is a LOT of cash tied up in this build.

that is just wrong. obviously you have never traveled anywhere. that is a nice neighborhood. remember where this build is. Thailand. chingchai please don't get offended by people that don't know any better.

i have been watching this build since day 1 and i would love to pass by when i travel to Thailand next year. this is a dream system. i am building a 260gal now and its been allot of work for me recently. but i am almost ready to add saltwater too.

Chingchiang

Thanks for reponding to my post. I am happy to see that things are going well. I really like the Neo lights for your soft corals. i look up your link to the website but can only find in Japanese. Did you get this in BKK?

Also Woowoodenguy is correct NM1975. here in HCMC floor space is over $5500 a sq metre! Bangkok probably much more. That means even a small houst cost alot. Here in VN there is no such thing as mortgages. looks like a fine house to me. Also this was originally a garage I think.

Anyway Chingchang keep it up you have many admireres.

Regards

Neil

Dude if your "just curious" and meant "no offense" then did you really have to use those choice of words that you did?? What a jerk. What does it matter where it's going in? That was VERY DISRESPECTFUL and IGNORANT in my opinion.

It's a shame people don't think before they speak , Please Chingchiang don't be offended by the ignorance of others and please continue to share this incredible journey with us.

Wow, Chingchai, that is the most amazing R.O./D.I. system I have ever seen on a home aquarium! :D

Thank you so much for allowing us to share in your tank build. You are such an extremely dedicated hobbyist.

The lady who designed your system must have a lot of experience setting up high-end systems. Is this her most ambitious project ever or has she designed other, even larger systems?

I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Good luck!

:D

Ok, i realize and admit my post was a little jerk sounding, but everyone try to grow some thick skin for 10 seconds while i press my issue -

it is a valid question.

If someone is taking this much effort to go into great detail about building one of the greatest tanks in the world which is obviously quite expensive (75k-100k) - then why cant i wonder outloud about the environment or the home that its in?

if he doesnt want to answer the question thats fine. but the rest of you can lighten up a bit, sheeesh.

This should in no way detract from this amazing and incredible build. It is like observing a masterpiece in progress.

Naturally, this must arouse curiosity about the persons finances.

You are right.
I was born in this neighbourhood and still be very happy to live here.

NM1975, you may want to leave Mayberry and see the world before you start deriding someone else's home.

Probably better to stop quoting NM1975 and just giving more attention to his remarks by replying in this thread.
I think this thread deserves attention on the built and the tank itself rather than side issues...

Keep up the great work Chingchai!

I think i offended the readers of the thread more than the OP. lol-

After everyone gets the knot out of their panties from my first comment - maybe you will realize that the tank just looks out of place if you compare the inner room, and the outer pictures of the building.
The inner room looks like a surgical center or NORAD or something, and the outside looks , well, pretty crappy.

Maybe that is just the standard of living there , maybe that is a nice neighborhood? Pardon my total and complete ignorance.
