DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

I read this entire thread before and after the split and I have to say this is hands down one of my favorite tanks ever. Chingchai, your tank is definitely an inspiration to many. You inspired me to plumb in 2-30g tanks into my 40B setup to run display fuges a few days ago...lol. Anyway...just wanted to thank you...

Chingchai. Have you considered running a T5 unit, possibly even the old unit depending on size variable(s), flanked by the MHs and growing/harvesting Chaetomorpha within the Rhizophora mangle propagules ?

This would greatly increase the nutrient reduction efficiency of your Refugium, as Im sure you are aware Rhizophora mangle are not the most efficient species at nutrient reduction; more a supplement for other species/options ... Just a thought for your consideration :)

CRD. Thank you for your advice.
But I am happy with MH only for my refugium.

Within the past few months, I did have so many bad things coming.
Not only with my reef tank, but also with my business.
I even think about breaking down this tank. But I can't.
The show must go on.
Here are recent shots of my tank.

I am Sorry about the challenges that you are experiencing sir,
Unfortunately most of us are in the some boat.
My system have a lot of bad things happen and financially I am cripple with this economy but like you said show must go on.

Good luck hopefully everything turns around for all of us .

Anyway your tank is still best in the world.

Hi Chingchai,
Sorry to hear about the challenges you are facing. Ups and downs are just 2 sides of a coin called life. Just like our hobby.
I am sure you will overcome every hurdle that comes your way with the dedication and commitment you have with things you do.

The new pics of the tank look excellent to me. And things looking as beautiful as ever. Thanks for the update.

I am sorry you are feeling a bit down, but please try to see beyond the troubles and just look at what a spectacular tank you have in the pictures you posted. None of the problems are apparent there, just beauty. Please try to see and enjoy so much beauty that is right in front of you.

I agree with what everyone above has said. For every plus there is a minus. Setbacks are only temporary obstacles for something meant to be greater. Keep your head up and never look back at the bad and if you do, use it as something that wont ever happen again.

a man is not measured by how many times he gets knocked down only what he does when he gets up.....the DT is looking good, keep up the fight

We all hope you can continue to fight through your hurdles! I for one have run into turmoil at times and have always looked at your tank(s) to keep me motivated and pushing ahead. We are all pulling for you to overcome your "bumps in the road"!! You are an insspiration in so many ways to us all!!

I wish all the best for you chingchai,
I hope eveyrthing will get better soon.....
Everyrain has a silver lining.

Best regards,
Irsan
