DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

i see that you use a vortech in the frag tank. Any reason other than to see how it compares to the tunzes?

Actually I prefer compact size of Vortech.
If they launch a new model which can be attached with thick panel, I will definitely buy it.

any frags for me in Singapore ?

why not?

Chingchai,
If this were a competition with Mother Nature ....... you have won!!!!

I don't think I am overstating the obvious when I say your accomplishment is clearly the best this discipline has to offer.

Someone has already suggested Tank of the Decade as appropriate recognition and I agree. You have brought 'art' to the science of maintaining a reef habitat. Many of us will try and walk down the path you have defined and the hobby will be the better for it.

I look at the various examples of previous tank of the year candidates and while worthy none holds a candle to your achievement. This last set of pictures took my breath away. I have been staring at them again and again in disbelief. Apart from the fact that no one has seen anything like it, this is impossible to imagine with a cold start 6 months ago!

Chingchai you have no peer.......Thank you so very much for your efforts and your incredible patience with our questions.

Peter

Peter. You always have kind words for me. Thank you.
There are still plenty of more beautiful tanks than mine out there.
It is just the matter of people whether they want to share it or not.

I'm completely speechless! seriously, I cannot think of anyway to describe the artistic beauty of this tank! I am wondering, did you have to go diving to place all the corals? or did you drain the level down?

salty55. Thanks.
I use my hand and tong to place all corals in the tank.
No water drain out and no diving.
Everytime I dive, skimmer stop foaming for few days.
That's why I try to avoid doing that.

Chingchai,

I have followed your thread from the beginning but haven't posted before now. The latest pictures are stunning. The tank is like a beautiful piece of artwork that really draws you in. Thanks for sharing, it is truly inspiring.

I am sure in a couple of months Mr.David Saxby will say the same thing that most of us think about your tank
IMO you have the best built ever ! I know there are more bigger and badder tank out there but your attention to ever little details make your tank the best!
Steve Weast might say the same thing before his tank crash!

Ching,
After these tank will be completed(well, almost) i recommend you start something harder.....maybe to keep Betta Splenders in a bowl.....they will be really a challenge to you....;)

Man..are you happy? What are your expectations about these tank ? I´m worriead about you...after these tank become mature...i´m worried about you don´t find any high class chalenge like this.....well, maybe start a 2000 galon in a house across the street....and move everithing yhere again....:)

Jokes apart...i need to tell you that i´m glad to be blessed about found these thread, and proud to say that you´re a long distance online friend...that i gently call 'A Hero"

And as i´m not you, and not even close have your patience, i can´t stand anymore wait to see some healthy large fishes swimming around those corals...

I seen your thread when you were just starting your build, and now I just checked it and wow!

One word, Outstanding!

Chingchai, perhaps its mentioned somewhere but do you use any mechanical filters in your tank? For polishing the water or anything?

OMG your setup is unbelievable, it is stunning in every aspect possible.

I take my hat off you for such dedication to this art!
