Hey chingchai,
keeping a real coral reef in this size and beauty is a blessing and a curse the same time.
Facing a real problem is not done by changing water and living rocks ;-). This are several tons of water and I guess some 100kgs of rocks.
Knowing WHAT and in what scale will happen if you drop maintenance for a time or don't react on new problems immediately... over the years, this certainly is a burden.
Well there is a return...
You have this beauty in your home.
I can only guess, that with all this suffering and real threats next to you and your family,
the "burden" part gets a lot more room than "beauty".
I also feel my reef as a burden from time to time. Usually this gets better with new projects and ideas. But hey, it's ok to step back some time and do only the most demanding.
As you of course already know... Part of success is hard work and getting through things like this.
Thats just my personal view.
In admiration,
Ralf
