dvanacker's 200g SPS tank......

Just finished going through this thread. All I can say is WOW :eek1:, your corals are such amazing pieces. Everything looks so healthy! Very nice progress for 2 years, would love to see a video. :ape:

Whoops, totally missed it. Was scanning for pictures :wildone: Thanks for this thread! You have like my dream tank. I'd just change some of the fish selection, but amazing job man!

Thanks...ya I love my tangs and large fish but really see the appeal now in a harem of anthias or smaller fishes such as wrasse. Tangs are great for algae though....my naso in particular ...dont think I could have a reef with out one.

Took a couple of cool shots...just a couple LPS. Sorry.

Hi Darryl,
Your camera skills are awesome! What camera and lens are you using and what settings?
Any frags of the pink lemonade and bubblegum Mille?
My frags are doing well, thanks to you. The generous size pieces make a difference.
Can't wait to see your tank again.
Cheers!

Thanks.....the camera is just a olympus E520.....a off brand starter DSLR really. Just using the stock lense too. The biggest thing is getting the white balance right and colors properly represented. Those shots were taking in aperture priority mode with the lowest fstop possible even though the zoom was probably maxed out or close to it. Lots of practice with the camera helps anyway.

A couple of clicks in photoshop:
Thanks......its sharper and the colors a little better. How did you do that. I have photoshop but never use it.

Sick Chalice btw:bounce1:
That red striped LPS is in another league
Very nice mate
I just finished reading the thread. Wow, great job man thats one hell of a tank. I love your PL colony.
Thanks fellas

What is this one called? I need to find a frag of this.
That is ORA hawkins echinata (turaki). One of my fav's as well.

Thanks......its sharper and the colors a little better. How did you do that. I have photoshop but never use it.

I use levels to work with colors and brightness. Here's an example:

To get the image sharper you can try Filter -> Sharpen -> Smart sharpen

But you have to be carefull, most times less is more
