They can shift over time as sediment builds up on the float or the hinge wears.

This was about a month ago, I have usually rinsed it after each use.

Fjcranor, where are you getting the fish from? Detroit area here so not sure if you head to the same places. Definitely recommend Moby Dicks in Clarkston.

I've kept a Coral Beauty a few years ago. I had him for two years without a problem. Ended up turning him in to a fish store because I just didn't have the time anymore! I wasn't very serious about the hobby so who knows what type of water he was living in.
