I thought it would be interesting to show the growth over the last two months on my colony.

I'd say i'm getting a little over 1/2" a month. Not bad for a supposedly slow grower.

Very nice, glad to see you are getting such good growth! Beautiful piece BTW, if you are ever willing to frag it let me know!

the apparent color change is mostly due to my bad camera skills than anything tangible in real life lol

What lighting was the first pic? I like that better, but it looks beautiful no matter what! Great growth too

Ushio 14k 250w. I liked it better too but i'm just experimenting with 400w radium at the moment to try for brighter light at the bottom without burning everything lol. If it doesn't grow on me i'll switch back.

I just got a piece of this and it seems happy....anyone in the Charlotte area Fintastic has about 3-4 good sized frags of this in the $30 and $50 bins!!!

I agree. The tips look so much more contrasting. how do the rest of your corals look?

some could be better, but overall not bad.

I don't think I've seen a Hawkins with that coloration. My Hawkins has a lot of turquoise with the tips a dark blue.
