EcoTech Marine VorTech MP40 Release Information

Here is that shot you were wanting of my vortech. I plan on adding the second one Thursday as soon as Fedex drops it off.

I think it's fun, clean, and has a nice mix of colors. I'll bet the fish really dig it. :)

I hope the fact that it is glass will bode well for the Vortech cord keepers. They should stay on better I would think.

One more picture, now that the bracket is gone. The lights were cycling off, so the color is ugly.

Waldomas - Send me an e-mail to service@icecapinc.com, and I will get you a second cable. Better yet, give me a call at 1-800-742-3227 and ask for Dave. I don't think any of the retailers have just the cables yet but as supplies increase I am sure that will change.

Good picture. It shows how much better the vortechs look in the tank than Tunze. Especially the lack of power cable in the water.

Yes, they are MUCH better visually. People used to always ask me about my seios. Now they don't even really notice the other. 24 hrs and my second one arrives!

I have been reading about these pumps and have decide to buy now because of the upgrade package. My question is how many do I really need. I have a Oceanic reef ready 90 gal bow front. I have a good size live rock stack (160lbs) so that the fish can swim behind and into the rock. Any suggestions?

Anyone know off the top of their head when the promotion starts for the single controllers and upgraded driver?

I have my Vortech up and running for almost 2 weeks now. No worries! Coral and fish are adjusting to the flow pretty well. It churns more of surface water than my old setup. I guess this causes more evaporation, so top ups a more frequent. My Montipora seems to like it.

Have you posted details on the driver upgrade yet? I like the exchange method but what's the price? An email to current owners would be nice :)

jay24k your tank looks fantastic. Melev, I'm always impressed with your tank setups. I've got a long way to go to get my tank up to snuff.

Thanks for the comments 007. I wouldn't of gotten where I'm at now if it wasn't for some great fellow reefers in my area. We have alot of variety of corals to share.

12 more hours till pump 2. Going to be nice. Never imagined 7000 gph of flow in my tank.

The price for the upgrade is $50.00 and your shipping the original Driver back to IceCap after successfully installing the new one we ship you.

Timing, I'd say late June or there about.

Re 90G; One with a strong return from a sump pump would do, but a pair would make life more interesting.

I have 130 gal quarter cylinder tank and wanted to get the vortech. Should I get two or will one be more then plenty. I hope I can get away with one. Also should I wait for some new version to come out or just buy now. I keep reading about some upgrade but this thread is so big that im lost, and don't know where things are at now.

7thheaven - You can register on-line at www.ecotechmarine.com

Andy

I thought I'd register my new pump online but I don't see the option on the site. I'll just mail it, but for future reference can you tell us where the registration is located on the site? I didn't see it, but maybe it was right in front of me the whole time.

What are you planning on keeping and what other flow will you have?

I have a 120 with a VorTech MP40 and two Tunzes, love the flow!

The MP40 is in the middle back and does a great job bouncing of the front of the glass. On your bow that would be some awesome flow.
