Ecotech Radion ~vs~ AquaIllumination SOL ~vs~ Vertex Illumina

Thanks for the research on this one:) I'm looking to light a 140 gallon frag/grow out tank and 96"X36"X30" tank and really leaning towards the Radion at this point. Looking forward to the results and subscribed.

Are you going to have the three fixtures up and running on tanks soon so I can come by PA a Saturday really soon to play around with the fixtures and compare/contrast them? (I've already been in close contact with Luke on getting the 96" DT quotes and wanting to make a trip to PA soon!)
 
I'm still waiting on the Ecotech Radion hanging kits to show up so I can have the proper hardware to get all of these up and running. I will have the hardware here tomorrow. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything over the weekend to use in place for the Radion to get it hung - hardware wise.
 
This is a great comparison, but what about the new (2012) Reeftech Prometheus? Looks like an awesome fixture, maybe the best available? Very expensive though. In any case, this is a great selection of fixtures to use for comparison. I am planning a 5x2x2 150 gallon tank and am still trying to figure out the lighting.
 
im also in the market for a led fixture for my 24x24 cube. i was leaning towards the ai. i heard they are coming out with a black fixture. i want to snatch one of those up asap. wish they would release it already!

When the Radion hanging kit comes in could you answer this question (or if you know the answer already). Does it come with the rails to hang two of the fixtures from one of the hanging kits? All of the pictures I've seen of the lights have them hung as a pair, but all the descriptions for the hanging kit I've seen don't mention the rails to support two lights.

All the photos I've seen like that were DIY jobs. I'm 99% certain the stock hanging kit will hold one unit only.
 
The Radion power supply is humongous!
Why does the Vertex have so much unoccupied metals on both sides? What purpose does it serve?
 
Anyone else surprised at how few pics and videos are getting posted of the new Radions? I would have thought there would be alot more than there are. Maybe it's because of the delay in shipping the hanging kits. Anyway, the curiousity is killing me...
 
if it will be up for a while I may have to drive down with some club members and check it out. might be a fun little trip.
