Fungia updates….

Fungia updates"¦.

Guys, remember the two skinny fungia my local reefer place in my tank the last two weeks??

Well, I guess it's about time I update with some pictures on the two skinny fungia are doing?

Before:
Only the skeleton without any flesh showing. There is absolutely no tentacles for the first 1 week.

A totally different look. Have fatten up and you can no longer see the skeleton and the tentacles are long and thick now. The colors is also a lot more vibrant.

Before:

Like the above piece, (but slightly better condition) arrived in my tank skinny with skeleton exposing. Have a little tentacles showing but very short.

This is how it looks like now"¦For sure they have fatten up in my tank"¦. You can see how thick the flesh is from this picture ! The colors are also a lot more vibrant compare to when they were first place inside the tank.

Now let's see if fungia have any teeth to chew their food...

I don't feed them so they get whatever leftovers I fed my fishes with but seem to do well.

Ed, how're you doing with those snails munching your monties? I have an outbreak of 'pyramid' snails that have snacked on my sps and monti ... bit of a mess. So far, I've plucked about 3 dozen out after dark from pin head size to about 1cm in length.

BTW, your tank is looking awesome

Tone :)
