When you say "lower light" or under "high light" how much are you talking about? It looks like in your tank description, you are only running T5s. If so, can you tell me more about how far from the lights they are. I have 3 different efflos in my tank at different levels. All on 6xt5

While these are undoubtedly beautiful corals, and I myself would love one, I have to ask why is anyone bothering to put a pricetag in with their images? I fail to see how it is relevant to the thread.

OP asked for pics, not prices; it for some reason irks me seeing people post high prices they paid for things.

Although, websites to find them are awesome :)

LOL that's not what they paid for it. It's name is the $500 efflo.

Oh, well now I feel stupid.

I looked on their site and they didn't have any special named ones, maybe it just isn't being sold at the moment. They do have some amazingly nice corals though... with an absurd price.

I feel yea I never pay the insane prices for any of my corals. I just barter and trade with the locals.

Thanks guys, lets see more pics.

I'm still looking to pick one up, but not necessarily for $100 or more. Maybe if I get one soon I can contribute pics to my own thread, haha

I generally do the same.

But, I live in central florida and wanted to see the store but I am about an hour from WWC and that is using $15 in toll roads.
So, I kinda felt I was gonna buy something to justify my trip :hmm2:.

So, I picked up the efflo and a poker star monti (very slow grower for me) for $100.
That is not a bad price locally for high end corals
And a nice store, lots of corals and a couple of 300g show tanks that are very nice.

ORAs go for $50-75 for 1st issues locally.

Second gen named (not sold as brand name) corals go for $10-25 though.
I generally trade with local lfs.
Not much coral moving in those lfs now though.

The 1st one is breathtaking, is that the legendary efflo?

I have stupid thought: maybe these are from same coral, under stronger light it develop more purple and brown, weaker light more blue and green ?

Kind of interested in that as well. Would love to get two frags from the same colony. Place one high and place one low to see if there is a color difference after a while.

What kind of flow do efflos do best in? I have a small frag of the 500 efflo and a small colony sized frag of Perrys..
