Absolutely. This also saves you from dealing with HAZMAT issues.
And you'd be amazed what a difference a newer fridge can be to your electric bill. I have an older clothes dryer that I'm trying to convince my wife to get rid of (it thunks) but I can't talk her into it from the energy side of it because... Well, I don't KNOW why.
I oughta just run out and get a new one, anyway...
Anybody have any idea what kind of a difference newer versus older ones are regarding motor efficiency? I haven't seen anything to help figure that out...
