Emergency... My eb8 stopped working help...

AFAIK there is no fuse to replace. The white reset button is the circuit breaker used instead of a fuse.

If the green light is solid it should be working and receiving commands from the base module. Have you done any reprogramming of the outlets that might have thrown things off?

The green light is on and solid. No I have not done any programming.. Nothing... just stopped sending power to any of the outlets on the eb8 out fo the blue for no apparent reason. No lightning storms no nothing. I don't understand bu there is no power to any of the outlets but have a solid green light.

I have purchased over a grand in additional components extra eb8 and modules and have had it up and running for less than 5 months now. I love my apex but this is just nuts.

It is irresponsible of Neptune not to have a troubleshooting section in thier manual that addresses this problem and others. I guess I'm just SOOL.

Try unplugging everything....base module and equipment. Then plug everything back in but try plugging the base module into a different port on the eb8.

Sorry, just returned from being out all afternoon. Yes, it's a pop-out breaker as you discovered, not a fuse.

Are you positive you don't have an extra EB8 declared in your module list?

Do any of your outlets on the bad EB8 have Fallback ON programmed? Are they dead as well? (and you have a solid green light on the EB8, not blinking, not yellow)?

Are you sure the wall outlet it's plugged in to is working? Can you swap to a different one just to be sure? The green light is the communications light and if you have a second EB8 it could be providing the power for that (not sure on that one) while you're still dead as far as 110vac goes. Get an extension cord and plug it into an outlet in a totally different room.

I have 2 eb8's... the status on both show as ok... however one is not opperational. i will check my outlet program and see if any are set to on.

definatly have a solid green light and not only that when I poser everything down the solid green light will return.

I have already tried an alternative power source in another room. That didn't help. keep in mind that both the good and the bad eb8's are pluged into a GFCI strip and the godd one is still opperational.

I just checked and I have 6 out of the 8 outlets that are set to fallback on and they are dead also... no juice.

as for the breack button... is there anything I can do with it?

alan, the weirdest thing just happened. I powered down everything again (which I did like three other times. Then powered everthing back up and like majic everything came back on just a second ago. I just don't get it??? could this be a faulty eb8? I will be puting everything back in order over the next few hours and hope that this never happens again.

If it was me, I'd keep my critical stuff on a power strip until you know this thing is reliable. You don't want it to crap out on you in the middle of the night!

Is the bad EB8 near any powerful electrical source like a ballast? You said they were both plugged into a GFI strip. Can you separate them so they don't run off the same outlet? Search the posts but somebody had trouble with an EB8 and it finally wound up being some sort of EMI. Just a thought.

I separated them not and they are now on separate GFCI strips. this happened last night very late... I happen to be up and noticed that my moon lights were not on but heard the skimmer (running on my other eb8). anyway, when I investigated I found no power. this is really bizzare. I will be keeping an eye on it for sure. I'll post if anything else happens but so its up and running.
