Emperor Angelfish With Fungal Type Infection

Hi all,

Today I've noticed my Emporer Angelfish both acting and looking unusual. He's lost his energy, is hiding, and is visibly different. I'm not too sure what could be wrong, but hopefully the pictures below can help diagnose the issue. In the first picture, there's red patches on his body and under his gills. In the second picture, there is a fungal type of growth in the top part of his head near his eyes. This growth protrudes from his skin, and is a purple color. Kind of like coralline is growing on his body. His eyes are also fairly cloudy. I apologise if the pictures are bad, he was hiding a lot and it was hard to get photos. Any help would be appreciated to determine what the issue is. Thank you :)

It could be uronema marinum in combination with a secondary bacterial infection.

How long do you have this fish?
What did you add to the tank in the last 6 to 12 weeks?
What are your quarantine procedures?
What other fish and inverts are in the tank and how are they doing?
What are your water parameter?

+1, looks like protozoan infection (uronema, ich, brook??). The cloudiness is the skin's reaction to infection. The redness looks like secondary bacteria.

If it were my fish, I would treat with chloroquine asap.
A fish in this condition requires quick action.

I agree. Should be available in oz without a prescription.
