I have a wavy sea with about 1200gph coming through the return, a tunze nano 6045 (approx 1100 gph) and a tunze 6060 ( approx 1500 gph) Tank is 36x24x20. Think the flow is adequate for are BB setup? Any thought on placement? Anyone has anything i might not be looking at?
Should be enough, you have around 53x turnover. You just need to position them to avoid any dead spots in the tank, how that's done depends 100% on your aquascaping.
I have my rock positioned to make a horseshoe shaped cove. I try to aim them toward the back to bring everything towards the front of the tank. My main concern is alot of stuff isnt suspended in the water and settles but i also recently removed my sand so my rocks are shedding alot.
You absolutely have enough flow. I am BB and I actually like to have one dead spot on the substrate where stuff can settle to some degree so I can siphon it out.
Another thing many BB methodologists fail to mention is filter socks. These things are perfect for this method of reefkeeping.
