enough lighting

I currently have 2 pfo pendants that are 175 watt m/h 10000k with (2) 28 watt actinic pc over a 125 gallon 5 foot long with softies down low and sps up high.Thinking of upgrading to (2) 250 watt 14000k mh only.Is the upgrade worth it and enough in your opinions??? thanks for the help.

How long is your tank and how many supports are up top, one support in the middle or 2 supports in the sort of middle left and middle right?

What are your tanks overall dimensions.

it is a 5 foot acrylic with one support in the middle dimensions are 60Lx24Hx18W

well worth it...you may even consider more lighting than that for SPS...maybe do 3 250's with one in the middle

I think the 250w will do a lot better for you being your tank is 24" tall. I have a 4ft tank and have 2x250w, where you might want to run 3x250w because you really want 1 MH for every 2ft and since you have an extra foot in there, you may want the extra lighting. It just stinks you have that middle brace in there, where it would be nice to have 2 braces and have 3 equal areas above to put the 3 MH lights.
