did anyone happen to call ER and find out if the sedra impellers ER has on their website for $49 are the new ones or the old ones?

I'm pretty sure they are the new ones, I doubt they sell the old ones anymore. They are responsive to phonecalls and emails though, give it a try if you're in doubt.

I received the new Impeller for my Sedra 9000. It is a big improvement. I still dont have a flow meter, so I cant say how much air is being drawn, but the performance of my 8-2 skimmer is much better than it was.

I got the new impeller for my rs 80 as well. unfortunately, there is no improvement. i think the rs80 really would be alot better with more air.

i spoke to chip today and he said they are the new impellars and they would increase the performance by about 17% for sp3 pumps and up

i thought the sedra 3500's didn't have a new impeller out.

I didn't think so either - but I specifically asked Chip about the 3500 the other day when I ordered some parts

he said Yes, the new (black) impellers are available for all the Sedra pumps, including the 3500, have been since October - and he then immediately said that the 3500 would not see a performance increase and that the 5000 would see ~ 17% with the new impeller

guess the 3500 just doesn't have enough flow to tweak

i think i remember hearing that too...guess i forgot. they were waiting for the new pumps (eheim 1250 was talked about) for the little ER's. hope we see something soon

Today I visited an LFS that I haven't been to before. They had an RC1000 with 5 x Eheims running in their system. NICE skimmer!
