No, you are actually describing an impeller that we tried on a few skimmers quite awhile back. It was produced by ASM and was meant for the KSP9000 pumps but it didn't work so well. The new impellers are actually black and use a much lighter yet more ridged (and still flexible) material. They have not been released in any way so you will not find one on the market.

We are just dialing in the tooling for the mold injection

forgive my ignorance but will future models of the ER skimmers ship with this Ehiem? I am soon upgrading to a 225 and was looking @ the RC500. Will it be available with 2 Ehiem pumps in the future?

Wow ER sure knows how to dangle carrots in front of all of us.

Is that Eheim going to be available in a rc kit - I see the unions on it.

Also regarding the needle wheel for the 9000's from ASM that didn't work so well. Is ER making the new black impeller that will fit a 9000?

About the impellers. Will you replace them again since they "don't work well".

You cannot call the ehiem a new addition to the family. I had one of the original euroreefs. 30" tall, and 2 ehiem 1060's. I loved that skimmer. Never should have sold it. Most people dont know you started with ehiems.

I would be more appropriate to say the prodigal son returned.

honest! I had and ER from when Jeff and his dad still had a LFS. It had 2 ehiems. I had never seen such an awesome skimmer.

I was a fool and sold it. I have never been as happy with a skimmer since.

I don't think I have any pics. After buying that skimmer, I could not afford film.

Hello,
I have an old ES 5-2 skimmer and haven't used it in 6 months or so and recently tried hooking it back up.

My pump is pumping enough water through the skimmer, but barely producing any bubbles. There are very few bubbles in the chamber and the ones that are in there are pretty big.

I cleaned out the air hose and cleaned out the pump using vineagar. I remember it preformed perfectly before, its always produced lots of fine bubbles. But now its totally ineffective. Anyone ever have this problem before? What can I try? Thanks.

Supa - take your pump out and your air hose off. then lookinto your air hole on your venturi. i'm betting it's clogged. take a toothpick or a drill bit (smaller then the hole) and clean all that gunk out of there.

Also make sure your using saltwater. It won't make hardly any bubbles in freshwater. Don't know if you knew or not....

I just got my ER CS-5, Its sitting in some water right now with a little distilled vinegar to clean everything up ( I got it used) it seems to be doing great. What mods can I do to it to improve the skimming, I already have the gate valve mod on it. Thanks.

okay guys, attempted to order the ER cs-80 and apparently Marine Depot is out of them. they want to replace my order with the rs-80 model. can some one tell me what the difference is (even though most say none), and if i should go with it or wait until it is restocked? I am new to salt water and was looking for a helpful opinion. thanks.
