Euroreef Gate Valve Help

Hey guys,
My euroreef was working flawlessly until a come weeks ago. For some reason, every couple of days the cup will overflow then back to normal. I have the gate valve mod on there and have it adjusted for very dry skimming. Any ideas? Drill a hole in the cap?

The airline is probably clogged by salt. Try to wash the airline in warm water.

Yeah, that was the first things i checked and that wasnt it. Anyone else have this type of problem with their mods?

Mine did the same thing. Turns out the venturi was getting clogged with calcium deposit. The venturi and the pump itself should be cleaned every quarter.

My skimmer has been doing that recently, and I have been a little perplexed about why it was overflowing.

theo, more than likely u have something logged in the airline. take the pump apart and using a stick or something of the sort, clean out the venturi port on the pump. thats exactly what was wrong w/ my old euroreef.
also any noticeable changes in the tank u think that may be causing your skimmer to go haywire?

Thanks guys. I took the pump apart and gave it a nice vinegar bath and i soaked the venturi tube in the vinegar as well. So far so good. Thanks for all the input.
