EV-180 & Ozonizer hook up

Just picked up a 200mg RedSea Ozonizer.... The ozone friendly tube is rubbery not like the one used on the calcium reactor. How would i hook this up? Would I want this to go into the EV-180 or directly into the sump?

I was reading the manual and it said that I need an air pump, areation chamber and activated carbon? is that really a neccassity?

how strong of an air pump would I wanna use? I just installed everything with the output going into my sump (just for testing) my ORP level reds @ about 350-ish I have 2x 500mg Dryer but only using one @ the moment. RIght now my Ca reactor is going straight into the sump. So if I tap this, I would want to T off the input from the JG and hook both my reactor and the ozone in with this?

My understanding is you can tap your EV-180 with a fitting and tube the ozone generator right to this. The skimmer will pull a vacuum and draw air thru the generator into the skimmer. You may want to use carbon on the output of your skimmer but if you start small you maynot have too. Turn the generator up very slowly till you get the desired results.

That's what I hear some do, just use the skimmer to suck air through? How strong of a pump would I want to use?

EV skimmers do not have the suction to do this which is why an air pump is needed. So says AquaC.

Some air does get sucked through the JG fitting. I ran my ozone with no air pump for some time, but when I added an air pump it was much more efficient. I would recommend you use two separate fittings for your reactor and your ozone. The rubber airline tube works fine in the JG fitting.

in a nut shell, here's what I did.

I put teflon tape over the Ozone free tube, put it into the air intake of the EV-180 (I haven't gotten the JG fittings tapped yet) I picked up this pump yesterday this is blowing air into the tube and some of the air is getting sucked into the skimmer not the most efficience way but it'll have to do until I'm brave enough to tap my skimmer.
