I just found this website
http://www.fishsupply.com/

I was impressed with their site and the prices on livestock, and then I found the contact page and realized they are here in So Cal

21162 Beach Blvd.
Huntington Beach, CA 92648

Has anyone ever been here?

Josh

I've been there, it's waaaaay down in HB like a block from pch. They have a decent selection of coral/fish and a lot of drygoods as well.

i went there while they had the wherehouse open near LAX. while they didnt seem too knowledgable about the product they were selling everything looked well taken care of and their prices were great.

i highly recommend the place.... they had the cheapest hamilton bulbs and seio pumps anywhere around.... their price beat marinedepot if you include the shipping

Thanks guys. I was contemplating going down there.

I can't determine if the fish selection they have on their website is the actual selection they have in their store. I saw some fish I might want to look at, but if the fish online aren't actually at the store but some other warehouse, then I don't want to waste the trip.

Although I am probably due to replace my HH bulbs.

BTW, when should you replace MH bulbs? Mine have been in use for 7 months now.

Thanks
Josh

I believe they no longer operate their LAX warehouse so it's just the HB location. I doubt the constantly update their website with stock but a simple call would confirm if they have the fish you are looking for.

yeah they only opened they warehouse for a couple of weeks then the owner of the building said they had to get more insurance if they wanted to have customers and not just employees in there.. so they stoped the "open to the public" gig.. they do have a nice set up in there though...

I live about a mile from their store. It is your typical reef retail store with below average customer service. If you want internet pricing you should bring the pricing with you. They always have a low- average selection of fish(health?), a lot of softies, leathers, lps, and many clean up crew choices.

I still go to Ocean Reef in Huntington Beach at Brookhurst and Adams they are having a 20% dry good sale right now on selected items. Best customer service best fish prices and healthy fish.

Catalina water $.44 a gallon.

Thanks hpasternak.

I saw afish on their website I wanted to buy. I was just wondering if the fish on the website would be at the store. If so, then they have a pretty indredible selection of exotic marine fish.

But it's beginning to sound like their website may not completely be up to date or reflect what they have in store.

Regardless I just remembered I needed a new pump and some maintenance supplies so I just made a purchase on marinedepot. I'm out of money for now.

When I get some money again I will plan to call first and ask if the specific fish I see on the web is actually available in store before getting in my car.

Thanks
Josh

True, I do have a Prius :)

And I get 480miles to a 9 gallon tank.

BUT, my wife is in Palm Springs at a bachelorette party for 2 days with the Prius.

So I have the mini van ;(

Very nice store, I been there numerous times but it's a little drive when exit from freeway. They don't seem to honor their internet price.

Seaside I would say is one of my top favorite 5 stores. Prices in general on there corals is great and the owner is a very cool guy. Also great about hem is they price match Marine depot and they will honor their on line prices if you bring in a printout.

I have purchased many items there. They have always honored their internet prices. Overall the store is okay. No wow factor, but lps and soft coral prices are fair...

Seaside has some of the best prices. They have a pretty good shipment of purple tangs right now.
