Everyone's Tank OK?

I heard about all the ice and snow up that way. I'm sure I speak for all the CORA members down this way (Central Ohio) in saying we hope all is well up your way. We got mostly rain all day yesterday, and woke up to a snow covering, but nothing like is going on up that way. Best of luck to anyone who is having tank issues.

Right now (7:30 am) it looks a very icy, hard snow is falling thick and fast. Tree limbs and power lines are more heavily weighed down that I've seen this winter. I think lots of people are still without power. The local news said last night that twelve to thirteen thousand people were without power and despite the deployment of extra crews, those people and more might not have power restored for 24 hours. Fortunately, we still have power here. However, I would be surprised if power outages didn't affect a few reef tanks. Let's hope this week is the last of bad weather.

down here in wooster, i lost power about 7pm and didnt come back on til 6:30 am. Limbs down everywhere in the yard. Tank dropped down to 65* the house dropped to 58*. The tank seems to be fine. the tank is now up to 69* slowly getting back to my 80*

no power loss but it took me twenty mins to get my door open to get outside 2 in ice had locked it shut .....
yikes!!!!

No power in Rocky River since 5:00 pm. Tank temp is down to 71 degrees. Waiting patiently for power. Tank is wrapped in blankets. Will add hot water bottles and a bubbler this afternoon if no power.

We are doing ok in Geneva. The entire West side of town (where I am) was without power from 7pm till about 12pm last night. Then lost again briefly a few times through the night.
Parts of town are still without, including my brother's, but all his FW fish are fine as long as it comes back sometime today. (which it isn't supposed to)
If not, I will bring his family, cats, & fish to my house.
I was caught out at my Mom's when it got really bad last night, the 5 minute drive home turned into 35.
All the trees are frozen solid now, & branches have been coming down all day, I'm sure causing more damage around here somewhere.

We are Northerners still though, & weather ice-storms with only a half worried smile.

Thanks for the concern zeppelin.

Power at home, is still out in Ravenna. It went out around 11:30 last night in the Mantua , Shalersville, Ravenna area.

Cool. Glad there haven't been any major tank disasters. Good luck to everyone still without power. We went through that here a couple years ago, right at Christmas/New Years time. I luckily had access to a generator for the day I was without power.

Larry, I was down in Columbus two Fridays ago. Went to Doctor's Hospital West. I was talking to my sister and we both said we had never seen so much ice on the ground. Now there is twice that much here LOL
Guess we should watch what we say. Did you have any problems getting around then? The roads were a MESS from Polaris to New Rome.

Ya, that was when we had the freezing rain on top of the snow. Looked pretty cool. We got some here, but not as much as Columbus. I'm about 15 minutes or so S.E. of the city, and we got more rain than freezing rain.
