Experiences with Flame angels and flameback angels.

Im debating on wether to get either a Flame angel or a flameback (african, preferably) angel (or possibly both) for my 72gl reef. Im housing mostly zoas and softies a few LPS and no sps (for now, future possibility).

I want to take perhaps a brief poll on your experiences with the two. I know both can and sometimes cannot be great "reef" fish but I want to see what the majorities experiences are. Give me as much info as you would like, I will be trusting you all and making my decision accordingly. Thanks.

I don't have experience but I can tell you that just about everyone will tell you it's a hit or miss so it's really up to you whether you want to take the chance or not. I have wanted a coral beauty or flame angel for the longest time but I have been hesitant as I keep a lot of LPS and zoos.
I will say though from what I have seen around here many people don't have problems with these fish picking at their corals.
However, in the end there still is that chance.

Yeah, I know. Ive heard so many people say the same. thats why i wanted to take this lil pole. I was just gonna go with what the majority of what the responses said. as for you wanting to get a coral beauty I say go for it I had one in my old 55gl for 2yrs, never a problem. Ive also had some friends and local people who had them and say in their experiences they are the safest of the pygmys. But then again like you said "hit or miss". Im sure someone will tell you that theirs was a %$@&.
