Exquisite Wrasse hiding

I bought a pair of Exquisite Wrasses. Both went straight for the rocks and hid ever since. The DT is 250 gallons with alot of live rock. this is day 2 and still no signs of both. Usually, when do they come out and play. I had a few wrasses before, but they came out within 1 day.

What else is in the tank? Be patient, all should be well lacking specific intimidation.

I bought a pair last year and they went missing for almost a week then one day the female came out then the male but the male didn't make it. I think they are poor shippers especially the male. I got a female last summer and hid for a couple of days. I also had a wrasse that went missing over a month which I thought was dead in a tank with no other fish. Out of the blue it came out and now it's like clock work and come out at night when I turn the light on and back into the sand when the light is out. Like Steve said be patient.

+2 on this fairy wrasse will hide most times i would not worry too much as long as there is nothing in there that will bother them they should be fine..i like to socially acclimate my fish as that will help alot of times

Yes, this will help a LOT of times with fairy and flasher wrasses.

define socially acclimate? how do you do this?

-add one fish at a time?

The only other wrasse in the tank is my cleaner wrasse.

i use a speciman cup to keep my wrasses in when i introduce them to the display tank...sometimes i put two or three in at a time..i leave them in the cup or container until i see they can hold thier own in the tank and the others get use to him or her being there..some times it is only a couple of days and i have kept one in there for almost a week...when i let the new fish out i also do this wehn the lights are out so the new fish get a good nites rest..this method has wroked for me almost every time and i have been able to keep some fairys and flashers that look very much alike without any problems here is a few pics of some fish in my converted specimen cup not the best pics most i know use a breeders cup..but i watch to see the wrasses display thier colors back to the other fish and also when i see that the others don't bother with it i let them out
