Fair price for Bam Bams???

ERB82

Sharks fan!
I have an 8polyp frag of real bambams and I'm not to sure what a fair price is. I've seen them sell for across the board. They seem to be really rare to see in stores. I mean there are some at Amazon Pets but Ken wants stupid money for them. What do they sell for among fellow reefers?

How can you tell the difference from real bam bams and fake ones? I picked up a frag of orange bam bams a while ago from a fellow reefer here. Not that I'm doubting his word but just out of curiousity.

Never heard of it? What are you talking about? Got any pictures? If your talking about the orange zoo's that Ed @ Tropical Paradise use to have, I twisted his arms to sell me a few frags for $25.. But it took a lot of arm twisting!

Yeah, I'm interested in seeing a Bam-Bam that has lineage. I've been pasing out my all orange zoos at bam-bams because there is nothing else to call them. Zoaid only has the all oranges listed as bam-bams. So, I'd like to compare with one that has "papers".

Holy crap I just referred to lineage in a post! I think I just took a step into a bad realm of this addiction.

Don't know how much it goes for. But when you figure it out and want to sell a few. Hit me it! I'm interested on a few polyps.

Ha, no "confirmed" liniage to speak of but when I think of bambams I think of solid NEON orange zoas which these are. I've seen some trying to be sold as bambams that are orange but have no POP. I have some that are orange and I have some that are NEON orange which are the bambams :) I just fraged my colony but they are pending in a trade right now so I guess pricing is no longer much of a concern. Thanks for you input though guys!

Oh and for the light question. Mine have done the best right up under the T5's in pretty decent swirlling flow out of all the places I've tried them. Actually that seems pretty true for all my zoas. Intense light and decently strong random flow.

can we get a pix of this? I think I've seen a thread about Bambam's zoas once but I never really knew it had an official name..

i got a frag from rommel at ultimatefrags, actually just one polyp, I have a huge colony now that gets better light and flow than my SPS. they're really nice, but never knew they were that sought after?

rommel gave me a very fair price as far as I can remember, nothing extraordinary.

My lights are a little old (phoenix 250s). I'm changing them out at this time. I wonder if their advanced age is the problem as my set up is near identical, light wise to the person I got the Bam Bams from.

$15 for a frag of 15-20 is typically what I charge. I have thousands all over the place.

The pic I have does not do them justice as its with my point and shoot and the white balance is way out of whack lol. Maybe someone else has one to share. You would really have to see them in person unless someone has a picture with a really nice camera. They really glow bright bright neon orange unlike other orange zoas that are usually a lot more dull. Seems like $20-$30 between hobbiests seems pretty fair for 8-10 polyps. I think I paid $30 for 10 polyps when I got them but I can't really remember.

Yeah let us know if that was the problem. I'm guessing it is.
