Fairy wrasse ID

I was on the fence about the minute wrasse. I almost got a pair but there just wasn't a whole lot of info out there and wanted to let someone else figure it out.

they are very touchy from what i've seen so far. they don't take shipping very well. we had a lot of DOAs. A lot.

initial hiding in the sand is normal, and captive requirements similar to halichoeres. mine came out after a week. i had a group of 7 but dwindled down to 4. the remaining 4 are very healthy now and have taken dry food like flake and pellets. being tiny, they can only eat small foods. even mysis are too big.

unlike other wrasses, these are very social and swim tightly in a group. they swim all over the tank now in an inseperable foursome and will quickly huddle again when disturbed. i don't know if they do this in the wild, or is it because they're still new and shy.

Been pretty lucky lately, last week I found 2 misidentified juvi wrasses that I believe are rose band wrasses...great color and 'damsel' pricing!

That's C. jordani (female). Interesting how something like that could end up "lost" in a shipment; that's not one someone tends to forget about.

I know it's a crappy pic, but it's not a flame... this is completely different from my juvi/female flames...body is orange upper and 'pinkish' lower, with red stripe by dorsal.... When I did an image search for rose band, the LFS IDd a male and said that they had already sold it but they didn't realize the juvis were related to it... They are trying to get more in for their Black Friday sale! They also expect some diamond tail flashers for the sale, as well as some small YB Regals

This is the bigger one , you might be able to see the white spots in that top stripe, fortunately I got 2, so I'll expect 1 to become a male soon enough
