Wrasseguy,
How did you swing a deal like $125? That is a gorgeus fish. The price always scared me, but if I could find it in that range I would go for it.

just want to say thanks to all of you..yes zemuron i ham going to get females for sure..my lfs said he can get them in..i think i am going to get 2 females for him....curtis i doubt you will find one for that price...but i hope you do

i really did not know how much this guys color can change when displaying and when angry this is a new pic from this afternoon...after my social fairy tried to flare up at him...the lineatus just when crazy and was displaying for 3 or 4 minutes...i happened to get a few shots in at the end of it well i hope you enjoy.

well i got the new srasse in and i am almost for sure it is a color variant of the c. punctatus..i hope to get some pics of him later today...i also got a c. aurantidorslis the orange back warsse..that guy is really sweet...very bright orange on his back..i have not seen one of them around for quite some time now..so i just had to get him.

Wrasseguy2, Can't wait to see the pictures. You always have great pix, info and insight.
I know I have probably asked this before. But what flasher/fairy would you recommend if I am looking for a wrasse in the blue, green or yellow color range. We have enough orange and red. I remember you like the Lineatus (beautiful), but the price really scares me and I'm afraid out of reach. I am almost at my limit for adding fish, but can add a Mangarin goby and one wrasse or just two wrasses. I probably know your preference. Thanks for all the help and posts. Always interesting. Any help from the group would be appreciated as well.

curtis if you are looking for a warsse that is green..i would try an exqusite fairy..i have a pair of them..the only thing is that the fairys with the green color seem to fade...after i added a female it helped some but i think it is not what the color would be if with a group...but a tank of you size that would be kinda hard..here is the pic of the fine spotted and orange back fairy wrasse

yeah i have seen some that look like scotts...really alot of variants for sure...that pic of the of the orange back did not come out as good as i had hoped..i think it is a young male..it still has a little green but u can tell that it is turning into more orange...i think i am going to pass on the lineatus female..but i have a coral sea hooded fairy pair coming in..hopefully next week but might be the week after

What are you guys feeding your Cirhillabrus?
The right foods have a lot to do with maintaining coloration....
even in fishes like Chromis that eat anything and everything.

HELP, problem guys. Upgraded to a 125 recently all wrasses are very happy with the new tank and added space. I basically bought new rock and transfered everything over. Only thing new is tank and rocks.

Is it possible that i purchased live rock with ick?

Right now 4 out of the 7 wrasses show signs of white dots on their bodies. My male flame is the worst, alot of dots all over his body. But everyone is acting normal, eatting well, no heavy breathing.

What should i do, panic and treat everyone, or keep them well fed with selcon, garlic, soaked foods and pray they get better on their own.

This is a reef tank so treating the main tank is not an option.

Thanks for your input,
Steven

you probably had the ich in your original tank and it came in with the fish and the reason they broke out is because of the move. It is possible you bought rock with some ich on it. If they are bad i suggest treating... waiting it out could mean a loss of one or 2 :( can you use your old tank as a large QT?

Unfortunately sold the old tank, i do have a 15 gallon but not big enough to house everyone. I'm going to try garlic soaked foods and watch them closely.

If i need to pull them out and treat, what would you use?

fairies do well in copper and it is prob the most reliable. Unless you can monitor hyposalinity carefully. Start with a light dose of copper and add as you go. dont use a full dose right off the bat.
