I have to agree here! My Lubbock's has started displaying lately (still not sure what triggers it). His dorsal, anal and pelvic fins turn brilliant golden yellow, all flared. And the usual dark purple and red on his sides turns pink and a bright ice blue. It really is the coolest thing to watch. I've got to keep the camera by the tank more often.

Here he is, not displaying, and with the camera flash...picture really doesn't do it justice.

it says it is a rhomboid... that is most definitely not a rhomboid. It looks like a form of pylei's fairy... Rhomboids will have no red on them at all... largeangels, what did they tell you it was??

zemuron114: I knew the split second I saw it that it was a pylie. I didn't care what they called it as I knew it was a pylie and I wasn't paying rhomboid prices.

Large, did you pick this one up as well? I was going to find out if it was a female but it was sold already.

No. When I saw the male I was going the get that one also, but it was gone already. It looks like it is a pylie female.

Ok guys I need some help.

I bought two lineatus wrasses and they are both sub males/females. They are in a 75g with 150lbs of rock. I was told they wouldn't fight but they are and tareing each others fins.

What can i do?

large - ok good. lol it bothers me when online vendors dont get the fish right. haha
great find at a good price as well.

brad23 - i've never experienced this. I put 35 lineatus in a 30 gallon vat and none bickered what so ever. what may be going on is they are both fighting for dominance and until one backs down they will continue to fight. You can wait it out or remove one.

I think 35 of any fish by nature in a 30 gallon will not fight. But i agree the fighting should die down if not, one of them will have to go.

Good luck,
Steven
