looks like a venusta coris... if it is.. u need to take it out or say bye to all your snails and hermits!! Im most likely wrong, but i can't tel by the pic. lol
yeah definitely a coris wrasse. It will eat the snails and hermits in the tank. Looks like a venusta wrasse. Very nice, but not 100% reef safe (regarding corals)
really? i cant rember what he was sold as but that is why i was posting... i remeber him being sold as reef safe...
his colors are yellow and a dirty purple towards the back.. i do notice that he likes to pick on the bottom or rock and turn small pieces over as he hunts all day... never bothers the corals directly..
Tanaka - i got in 2 of the cirrhilabrus tibecense wrasse i was talking about earlier. I can't find that species name anywhere and i believe you said you have never heard of it as well. I will post a pic tomorrow. I think it looks a little like a C. katherine or C. temminki, but really not definite on either one... very nice wrasse though. lots of colors
