Scotts Fariy Wrasse

Scotts Fariy Wrasse

I got a new wrasse the other day, drip acclimated him for about an hour, and placed him in the tank, he went to the rocks slimmed up and buil his cacoon. This behavior is normal i know that, next day came arround, I have not seen him. It has been 3 days now I have not seen him. I know he has not jumped out, closed canopy, and there is no escape possible in my 90gal. Any recomendations on how to bring him out, with food, I dont want him to starve, retail is about 170.00 on this fish, so I dont want to loose him. Any IDeas would be great!

Wow $170 for a Scotts is pretty steep ! If he's alive I'm sure live brine shrimp will bring him out. What is your current fish list ?

Good. 2 have died and the 3rd is on it's way. Hard breathing and some strange mucus on parts of the bodies. It looks similar to when clowns get brook. No other fish affected? QT is treated with Cupramine.

None. This and the others it came in with seemed in "perfect" health. I was sure it was a male until I saw the one on Divers' Den.

got this shot of my lineatus yesterday..i never seem to have the camera around when he displays but i hope to catch that soon

thanks Sara...he is starting to come out more and more now..at first the laboutti would chase him some but then the lineatus did not like that and puts a end to that...now the yellow fin chills with the lineatus...pretty cool to watch

Does anyone know the typical life span of fairy wrasses? I just lost my male Solorensis that I had for 3 years or so. It was already pretty much full grown when I bought it. There was no signs of injury or illness - just found it dead one day.
