Hi Sara,
My LFS gets in lineatus a few times each year. But this little girl came from a small Aussie shipment we got from a wholesaler in Hawaii. That's also where I got the laboutei female and rhomboid. Grew very fast. She was perfectly behaved until she hit 2-3" then she got very aggressive and started chasing the rhomboid around. She backed off thankfully.

Do Male Hawaiians absolutely require a female to get their super colors?

ez- it is a small male. It has the extended bottom fin. Also, females will have no yellow on them

nice lineatus!! Female lineatus are a tough find for most LFS.. im not sure why. it seems a lot of people want them?

sara that roseascia is so pretty i have always loved that fish..how is yours the one i had before it died was really mean

As you can see from his tail gets the brunt of aggression from the Laboutei wrasse in the tank. The Rosefascia pair were first in the tank and the Laboutei came a week later. No one messes with the female as she can stand her own if someone comes her way.
