heya!
i have noticed the rosy fins coming out more and more. but not like the other wrasses. to be honest, i thought i got a male/female pair. but i'm not sure now... i think now that i have an adult and a juvenile, but no clue on the sexes!
the two hang out, but not all the time. they don't fight. the reason i question the sexes is that i saw your shot (bronco7777's) of the two rosy fins and your comment:

These are a young juvenile pair. At this age not much distinguishes one from the other.
back on page 2.
i'll try and get a shot or two in the next few days. any resources on what to look for on determining sexes? in particular adults and juveniles?
oh - they do eat. they were eating at the LFS and have eaten anything i've put in my tank: frozen cubes, mysis, flakes, pellets...
and yup, you got the pics right! a lineatus and rhomboid. and ty!
every once in a while the rhomboid gets something up his butt when he looks at the indian ocean firefish just right.
kinda makes sence... the IO FF has a little more yellow-green to him then a 'normal' purple firefish i've been told.
at any rate, every once in a while the IOFF seems to get the rhomboid wriled up, and that's when i get to see him bursting gold! i mean, almost irridescent! i've raced for the camera 3 times now trying to catch it, but he's always calmed down by the time i return, heh! his spells last about 20 seconds or so.
once - he flared up the lineatus too. mind u - there's no aggression going on during this, he's just going berzerk in the tank.
gorgeous! i know it's not desired for them to be so stressed that they color up like that. and nor do i encourage my puffer to puff... but when they do - it's simply amazing!
here's a couple more shots of the IOFF and rhomboid. u can c y the rhomboid doesn't like him at times:
