I'd be interested. Do you do a live draft, or online? How many teams and is it an auction league or standard format? Do you do a team D or individual players? Yahoo is pretty simple to work with, whichever way you choose. LMK.

draft is better if its live always.....meet have some pizza wings and drinks and pick it up ....always works better and you dont have to worry about this person or that person getting online or not getting into the draft.... we need to pick a location set the time and date then anyone that wants to join the league knows what they are signing up for way ahead of time and then they can plan accordingly....your not going to find a day and time that works for every person on the planet so just set it and make it work...either your in and you make the time to show up or you dont...thats usually the simplest way to have a successful league otherwise your going on and on trying to find out whos in whos not and then turning people away that would be good for the league and ending up with guys that dont show up or drop out at the last moment

I agree on the live draft. So far I see:

It really needs to be at least 10 teams, and we could go to 12 if the interest is there. So far it is looking like Lantana and Miami are the 2 ends of the spectrum with Ft. Lauderdale between Tamarac and Pembroke Pines. I propose we do it somewhere around the Sawgrass? Should be easy to find a sports bar near there.
As far as a draft.....the 1st game of the regular season is Thursday, Sept. 9th. Obviously you want your draft before then, but not too much before, just incase someone gets hurt in pre-season (nobody wants to draft a guy and then see him get hurt in the pre-season). The weekend before the 1st regular season game is also Labor Day Weekend and some people may not be available so I will throw out the Saturday before that, say, August 28th. How does this sound so far, for the guys who are in?
As far as frags go, I don't know. To keep people into it beyond the 1st half of the season you have to play for something. Maybe, $10 - $25 with either a 1st place only pay out if the total pot is $200 or less or it could be 1st and 2nd pay out depending on the pot size. The cash eliminates the need for the winner to go around and collect corals or someone "housing them" for the season. The money can easily be paid cash to the winner or winners and they can buy what they want at that time from where ever they want. You can also send the money thru Paypal under the "gift" option and avoid any service fees.
Once we lock in the all the Managers, we can arrange a pre-draft payment to who ever is agreed upon so we know all who join will show up. (There is nothing worse than being at a draft where there is supposed to be 10 guys and only 9 show......well, there is, but you get my point. lol.)
I am just throwing this out there to try and get the league rolling. It should be really fun and also introduce us to some more people who share our sporting interests as well as our reefing interests.

Plenty of places around the sawgrass. The leagues Im in we usually use cbs sportsline and purchase the manager ahead of time with the real time scoring. I have an account and can set it up. Ive done it for the past 5 years on there. Lets get 10 commitments and then send out the invite and the pm with a first come first pay first play this way we can have a guaranteed number and time to fill in if anyone doesnt. The cost of the league manager we use on cbs with the live real time scoring is $150 I say split it equal for starters and thats the 10 and then we can discus the prize for winner. Thats $15 each first 10 paid in full are in..... obviously going in order of first 10 to committee then pay and if someone doesnt then fill in from the next in line. How about a week of open enrollment, if we have enough for more than one league I can set that up too so everyone that would like to participate can. Let me know if you want me to set it up. I will pay for it ahead of time then each person can paypal or drop off their $15. Let me know.

lol If youve ever seen a fmas league in action itll never work! Im down to meet up and everything but I just dont see it working as hard as it is to even get people to do the live online draft... As far as frags everyone meeting up would actually be a good thing cause than we could all bring the frags than. If you dont have a frag you could throw in what ever price the frags that we throw in is but id prefer to play for coral since im poor and thats what I would spend the money on anyways lol
