First Favia, first real LPS..
I'm wondering, about how long are these sweeper tentacles?
I've got it like at least 6-8 inches from the closest color, a Hammer.
Pretty generic probably, but for a Noob it's cool!
I believe that your coral isn't a Favia, it is a Goniastrea palauensis. They are given the common name of "prism favia" which sparks all sorts of confusion obviously. None the less they are awesome LPS. Don't discount the piece! I have been wanting to get my hands on a frag with similar coloration to yours for some time.First Favia, first real LPS..

I wouldn't worry about polyp extension, especially seeing as the coral is new to your tank. Let it settle into the new environment and offer it some mysis and you will see more extension.![]()
Thanks for responding, and the info.
The tentacles were out like the first 7-8 days, and now they're not.
I put some Mysis in a baster, and tried to give it some, but it had nothing out to grab it with. I guess it wasn't enticed enough to come out?
