Love the colors on this piece; looks like a possible montastrea sp.

you've got to start labeling all these beautiful pics, so people know which ones are which when they start to harrass you about frags.

I try not to put names on all pics I post here ( except in the propagtion forum :D )...

Ok I got that Favia from Rommel which he labels them CMF .. Creepy Monster Favia.. Got it last june 1 1/2 polyp now its like 6 -7 on them thanks

Mark: Hmm, I gotta go check that on the Skimmer. The filter is just an AquaClear, nothing fancy. I already have/had(?) a great bio filter in my LR. I just wanted that to run the carbon, Which works great for water clarity. Clearly, though, there are too many nutrients not getting filtered. I'm not sure what brand to get, but it cannot be a cheap thing like now. ( I think its a Prizm).
Audio101: That looks big enough for a couple of frags. Not suggesting anything you know ( Give Matt & the gang a piece or two). Just that its very beautiful & quite different in appearance ( we could all share..). Nice find!

Nah, I don't believe in subliminal messages!

Jendub, that Area 51 Favia showed up in the tank after my last alien abduction experience. Come back soon! Actually got it from Victor and Lou at WWC in a trade/buying binge back in August. It probably is the same coral that you have/had, but not sure if from the same colony. Coloring up nice under the LEDs! BTW, that rainbow echinata you hooked me up on is getting really crazy in a good way. :eek1:

grknyer, looks great. I placed an order yesterday for some new favias, hopefully it will come in on tuesday and I'll have some more to share.

Ahh so I see that you like my Pomegranate Favia? My wife came up with the name because she says the little red eyes so close to each other remind her of the fruit.
Steve so you know I'm not holding out on you it's just that you never asked.;) :D

YOWZA!!!

YOWZA!!!

Here is another yet to be released out-of-this-world coral that I am getting from Victor and Lou @ WWC. Can't get here soon enough, had to trade a frag of my beloved PPE "chalice" thing for this one. Pics were taken under MHs, NO ACTINICS! Really! I know, it is hard to believe. Proof that corals come from outer space.

If that thing comes out of the tank at night & starts running experiments on you, don't blame me! Really does look a little like a UFO!

Nice one Jose! The good thing about your not so great pic is that we get to see it again when you finally capture its' true essence.

Thank you Kev, I wish I could capture its true colors but Iam a noobie when it comes to pix.:(

Well we'll all imagine it even better than it looks in that pic, then. ;)

Great stuff everyone!! I think this thread name needs changed as there are as many nice Favites here as there are Favia's ;)

What's the best lighting to bring out the color in the sunset blues favia?
