Favorite clowns?

What are your favorite clowns? Mine would have to be:
-Lightning maroon
-Mai tai
-Black snowflake occ
-Platinum perc

Let me see some of your favorites!

Really anything natural looking and wild caught. Current favorites include my wild caught black darwin clownfish and I'm really digging a fairly new pair of wild caught sebae clowns -- the female has a cool aberrant marking on her tail.

Snowflakes of any kind are my favorites.
I currently have a spawning pair of snowflake occ. and just paired up a couple of black n white snowflake occ.

And I just got a pair of juvi lightning clowns. They are still very young, and its too early to really say if they will become favorites. Althought, my last experience with a marroon didn't end well.

I'm gonna have to go with my Sea & Reef Phantoms. They are still pretty young and just beginning to turn dark.

Are both pairs currently or going to be housed together in your 65-gallon aquarium?

I'm getting sick of designer clowns. Still won't buy wild caught clowns unless my intentions were to breed them and even then I'd go with tank bred if a viable option.

Favorite clowns?

My two right now are black ocelarris and misbar ocelarris. They're my absolute favorite I love them so much. Looks like the misbar will be the girl and the black will be the boy, which is what I hoped!

I had a Darwin ocellaris pair for over 7 years. The female died for unknown reasons, and her partner died recently from my stupid decision to pair her with another clown without quarantining first. They were beautiful, hardy, friendly fish who survived two tank leaks, stray voltage, and a heater malfunction.

I also like the onyx perculas and Clarkiis as far as appearance. I had tomato clowns in the past, and they were really fun little fish who laid eggs every month. (They were in their own tank, so I didn't have to worry about aggression to other fish. I might not have been as fond of them otherwise. :) )

I had't bought fish in so long that I didn't even know designer clownfish were a thing--aside from a vague memory of Sanjay's Photon(?) Clownfish from 6 or 7 years ago. It wasn't until I went to find a mate for my ocellaris that I saw how many types there are now.

I thought the Peacekeeper Maroon photo I saw was interesting, although I like the ones with defined lines rather than the cloudy looking ones.

I'm not sure if Black Ice and Snowflake Clownfish are the same, but I like those as well.

I bought a pair of Picasso clowns that arrived here yesterday. I know a lot of people don't like designer clowns, but I am the one who will be looking at them and caring them for the next 20-30 years (knock on wood). :D

This is a photo of my pair taken by the seller since I can't get a clear photo of them for the life of me.

I think my favorite clown has been and always will be the Onyx clown, especially one with a high dorsal and really clean lines. Mother Nature did that one right.

Yes, wild ones like the two in my avatar. The C-Quest onyx line is by now a bit too inbred.

One of the wild Solomon pairs I picked up from Baja Reef last year have the black body with the orange dorsal fins and that coloration seems to be very stable and unaffected by an anemone or other external influences.

The other pair I picked up there lost a lot of its black after I paired them with a gigantea.

The Solomon percula pair I got from Aquarium Concepts darkened substantially after I gave them the purple crispa (the first one that didn't make it). Even though the anemone is gone, they still continue to darken. They may actually turn out nice.

I like these. Don't know what they are but I like them l. Their fins are a lil longer and the way they sway it is awesome
