Feb 25th 2017, LEAR FRAG FEST!!!

Is there a map someone can post showing where all the vendors were set up?

One of the vendors along the left wall if you had your back to where Frost was. Looking at the floor layout on the Lear website it would have been the third table in from the back wall - worked by just one guy and he only had one frag tank.

Great swap and a great crowd. Only had to add 2 people to my black list for no-showing to pickup their reserved corals. Can you believe one of them was there and had 2 chances to pick it up and still skipped out? I had several people try and buy it but I told them "sorry, someone already reserved it". That person has now joined the Secret Society's black list. :smokin:

I had a great time but had no shows as well. 2 of them were for large items so I wasn't too pleased with carting those all the way there and back for nothing. Best part is you give these people your contact info beforehand and they don't even have the balls to atleast text that they won't be there.

I had two "no shows" as well. Both ReefTrader users got a nice personal email from me explaining what you stated and please do not reserve from me in the future. :thumbdown

I had one unclaimed coral I waited until 2pm and tried to find another buyer. The guy saw me walking around and still wanted it. Lots of chaos, so this is understandable, but I can't see anyone being too upset if you waited until 2pm and sold off what's left. This was actually my first swap not taking back something I brought with me.

Had 5 people no show. It is hectic especially with some reserves being from people with there own setups there. But I would at least take 5 mins to go pick up my reserves at some point. Great swap though! Can't wait for it next year

I think that it might be time for a larger venue buecuase it is been getting larger and larger. You do a great job outing on the swap

I also felt the venue is getting too small. Very hard to walk between rooms with everyone stopping to look at Frost and Cherry Corals.

It was rough this year, ton of people, barely any walking room. I enjoyed this one the least out of the last 3.

It needs to be a more of a laid back setting rather than chaos. They should also have one person calling the names of people that you are looking for as a last resort to help locate them.

Can someone comment on the official count this year as compared to last year? Im curious,,, other than the bottle neck with the area between the two rooms (should NOT be tow tables on each side) I thought it was actually close or less crowded from last year. Just my perception.

I mentioned to Gunner though about the need to have at most one vendor in the area between the two rooms... Maybe even best to leave the area completely open. Just my 2 cents. I had a great time and actually enjoyed myself this time more than others,, maybe since I reserved most of my stuff on Reeftrader rather than fighting the table space crowding.

Attendance was around 750 which I believe was more the last year. Reeftrader numbers were almost identical to last year in terms of users, listings and reservations.

I agree with this. Knowing that frost and CC are big hits they really need space from each other and be near the back of the rooms where it gives others more walking room. The area is such a pain to walk through.
