I have four lps. One is a plate and its baby, and both have their feeders out all the time. They don't have much of a choice. However, I also have a double blasto frag (two pieces on one rock), an echinata, and a "maxima" (looks like a scoly imo). I've never seen feeders on any of them, even when I feed. The food will fall into their mouths and they'll accept it, but on the 40 or so total polyps I haven't seen feeders on anything. My blastos will stretch their mouths toward the food and eat it. So will the scoly (though he's not as good at it). The echinata are so small and fluffy it just falls into their mouth. I've looked when the lights are out, up to two hours after. No luck. Is that a bad sign? I've had the plate for over a year; it came with my rock. The "maxima" scoly and echinata I've had for about two months. The blastos I've had for about one.
