Feeding haddoni. How close to mouth

I tried feeding my haddoni today and it would do anything with it? How close do you put the food to mouth? Also does it look ok? Been in tank for week. It has deflated a couple times but usually looks like this. These are my rbt's. hopefully tank can handle both types. I've had my rbt's for years. Just keep splitting and I give me away. I never feed them but thought I should feed haddoni beings he isn't going to have clowns to take care of him.

Thanks

We all really want to feed our new anemone. I often do the same thing, which is feeding them too early.
I would not feed it until it stop deflating for a few days. If you have it in good environment and good light, it will be fine without feeding for a few weeks.

If you decide to feed, it really does not matter where you put the food. A healthy Haddoni is extremely sticky and strong, it will pull the food in very quickly, even with just barely touching the food with one or two tentacles. Any fish other than the clowns, brush against it is a dead fish.

Yep, Haddonis are known fish eaters. They are probably one of the strongest stinging anemone species we keep.

I had a haddoni eat two puffer fish over the course of two weeks, they will eat anything they can get their sticky little tentacles on.

If the food contacts the tentacles and the nem doesn't respond by folding up to consume it then like Minh said give it some more time in the tank.
