Feeding my BTA..

I've got a green BTA that seems to be doing great. It took over a big cave in one of my rocks, and is opening up from there. My maroon took to it almost instantly. However, because of the place that the anemone is in, I can't really see the mouth. Also, because I use mainly frozen mysis shrimp that end up being blown everywhere from the powerheads, I can never really get a piece to settle on top of the BTA for it to ingest. Is this necessary or will it collect food particles floating aorund on it's own?

Here's a quick pic, not fully opened up here though:

Thanks.

Do not worry about the mouth, once you put a piece of food on it's tentacles the anemone will move it toward the mouth.
Try feeding it half of a silverside, pieces of shrimp from the supermarket or pices of scallop. Do not cut them too small, 1/4" to 3/8" pieces will do fine.

Thanks. Is it normal that the BTA changes sizes once is a while? Sometimes at night its huge, or sometimes it'l be pretty shrivelled up.. I just aquired it a couple days ago and the maroon likes being a bit rough. Normal?

Thanks again.

Mine did that for the first few days it still does every once in a while. I beleive I was told it is the anemone adjusting to the water conditions. I feed mine half a silverside every couple of days and it takes it on its own and devours it. Good Luck
