Feeding while away from home?

I was curious on what you guys do as you travel or have to spend weekends away from home? With my schedule I spend usually Thursday-Sunday away from home and have friends and family help keeping up my feeding schedule. How many days do you feel comfortable going without feeding? Without risking fish health and comfort of course.

Right now my tank has a small load, just a couple of clowns in a 75gal with a clean up crew.

Will you be able to top the tank off while your gone? (SG) Fish can go quite awhile without prepared foods. How long exactly?

Top off as in the water? I do have a ATK set up. Sorry if not, still learning ins and outs.

Autofeeders being currently discussed;
I copied this from my local forum
Thanks Timfish
"I've got fish that are older than their wild counterparts using the Ehiem autofeeders with Spectrum pellets. I have great success with Lyretail, Disbar, Pinksquare and Tricolor anthias by including ZoPlan along with the pellets. I have nothing against feeding fish a quality flake food but I have found it much easier to feed a consistant amount of food with each cycle using only pellets or pellets with powdered food mixed in."
"With most of my systems autofeeders are set to feed 4 times with two rotations at each feeding. A couple systems have 2 autofeeders. I also notch the "door" on some so I can feed smaller amounts with each rotation but still use all 4 feeding times and 2 rotations.

The eheim rotating auto feeders are bulletproof in my experience. I've got three now. The first is probably ten years old and still going strong. I don't think fish will suffer from not being fed for a weekend or probably even a week but, I don't like to not feed them for more than a day or two. This may be more about me than them but, I always think, I could survive a week without food but, how would I feel about it? In short, I wouldn't panic about the fish not being fed for a few days but, I'd set up an auto feeder if it was going to be a regular occurrence.

Just out of curiosity do you know what your SG is? SG is just another name for salinity. You should know this right of the bat. (at least within limits.) KH is next...QUOTE]

KH:8-10

I feel the same way about it. I'll look into an auto feeder then!

I also use the Eheim auto feeder. I built an acrylic holder that has a feed tube that extends an inch below the water surface so the floating food does not get sucked into the overflow.
