female hermet clown

I have a bonded pair of false percs. They do everything together; they sleep together, swim together, even wiggle on rocks together. But today my female has been sitting in her house and won't come out.

She comes out to eat and pick at rocks but then goes back to sitting in her little rock hole. She's also taken pot shots at everyone that goes near her house, even the male clownfish.

Has anyone observed this behavior before?

Well that's good to know because I was about to rearrange rockwork. Can I move stuff after the eggs hatch?

You can but they are protective and moving it might cause them to now be in a different section of the tank, protecting or antagonizing other inhabitants.

It would be neat if you could remove that one rock and put them in a tank for grow out. But you would need some rottifers and a few other things for that.

spawning!
When they are spawning, it is the male that guard the egg most of the time with the female's help. and they won't fight each other. I highly doubt that it is spawning.
It is not spawning, in this case, unless you can see the eggs.
