This is a fairly new setup so I have to wait for everything to grow out:mad2:

J/K, I've got the patience.

I think I've got a majority of the "basic" SPS. I'd like to start collecting more exotic pieces. A blue tort is definitely on the wish list but what about some other suggestions? Anything not green.

:)

looks REALLY good !! I love the 3 island aquascaping. Especially Acro island. Can you give specifics on how you achieved the arching left island. Epoxy ? cable ties?

I built PVC structrues and drilled random holes in the pipe. I then drill holes in the rock and used zip ties to bound them to the PVC structure.

Here's some pics.

Laying out some of the structures to see how they would fit in the tank.

For the middle pillar, I drilled 1" holes with a hole saw so I could slide them down the PVC. Kinda like a live rock shish ka bob!

I like the PVC structures because the "legs" keeps most of the rock off my starboard so there is no detritus buid up.

More details can be seen in my build thread.

Nice live rock Ka bobs. Seriously, great stacking technique. It does create an impressive aquascaping display. :)

what type of drill bit did you use to drill the rock with? thanks eric

For the pillars, I used a 1" hole saw and for the half arch, I just use a regular bit large enough so I coulde slip zip ties through it.
