figures the 125 wont fit

my 90 gallon barly went down and then up when i sold it iths the extra 2 feet thats killing me it hits walls and considering i finished my basment my self i dont feel like fixing walls

well after making a butt head of myself by assuming once, I wont go that road again LOL! If you say it wont fit then it wont. you know your house better then I do. I will tell you that a lot of the times when we move tanks it was in the "tall" position its harder to do and feels heavier but it helps. An old rug or mat helps to slide it while its on end especially on wood or tile floors

ALso a friend of mine closed down a 20 year old petstore about a year ago and has a brand new stand and canopy for a 125 long
she is gonna get back to me on how much for it
she told me it is oak stained black
not painted black but stained

When I moved to the new house movers took my 220 from 1 basement, no problem, trhen after 30 minutes of trying to get it down in to my new basement they said they could not. Very politly I said, that's a shame as you bid this job, with getting the tank down there, would you like me to get the contract? Took another 20 miutes, removale of a light fixture and handrail and my 220 was down there.
So you want my 125 tall? I figure if movers can get the 220 intomy basemet a 125 long should be no problem.

Blah blah blah.. Sry to be rude. I never mean to be. I just come off that way. How bad do you want the tank in your basement??seeing how I would prefer an 8 to 10' long tank in mine. I thought about just ordering the glass or acrylic and putting it together downstairs. Now I say how hard can this be to take a tank apart and put it together. My guess is A. Someone has done it on RC or B. You'll be the first but, if you're for suley going to move out with in the year is it worth it?? I have a wife too so I know how it goes.

if anyone want to trade i got the 2 6 foot vho bulbs and ballast and end caps 40 gallon for the sump and i have a Iwaki pump and bulkheads to

if not i will get a stand and find something to do with it

I see you posted your tank on craiglists... are you sure you just dont want to give me the 125 and be done with this whole mess? <wink> hehhe

im suprised no one wants a bigger tank
i just cleaned the hell outta it and am resealing the sides
the silinoce had so muich algae on it
tanke cleaned up nice though i must say

what do you mean no one wants a bigger tank, I do, and have a 75 I am willing to trade, can even do it next weekend when you get the stand. I don't know what you want though.

sorry, I have a stand(light wood), and a normal flourescent light, it is currently a fresh water tank, my reef tank is only a 55, I was thinking of taking down the 75 and transfering my reef tank anyways. I have a bunch of filters between the tanks that I have running and the ones that I don't. the reef doesn't have too much, a backpack HOB protein skimmer with a rio 1700 on it, a couple circulating pumps, 2 HOB bio-wheels(40 I believe, without the wheels). I also have a fluval 204 canister. The light on my 55 is a coral-life 4x65W with 2 acetics and 2 10k blubs in it right now, I like that light.

i would rather have one that didnt have freshwater in it before i know this one was salt so nothing in it would hurt corals

im also in the process of putting new silicone on the corners and top

if it ever possiably had copper or anyother medication in it that not reef safe

i had a tank like that once and learner the hard way couldnt figure out why corals would not survive till i read it onhear

well, it never had copper in it. And actually I have 2 75 gal aquariums, one is housing a snake right now. But I only have one stand, so the snake is on the floor currently. I was planning on making a cage for the snake(not waterproof), since he has become too big for the aquarium anyways, There wouldn't be anything in the snake cage that would harm corals either. If you would feel more comfortable. In fact, the cage with the snake in it looks real good.

I have converted FW tanks to SW w/no problems at all. Copper shouldn't ever be used in a main tank. I would definately not use a tank that had reptile poop in it.

The best thing to use for disinfecting a tank is OxyClean.
