Finally finally finally found my green LTA!!

Of the clowns I have had, my picasso's and a pair of pink skunks I had were the most passive in just about every way I can think of, including the way they clean their area, and this was one of the reasons I suggested the pinks in my first comment.
All my maroon pairs were were somewhat brutish in every way, including stirring up serious sand storms, moving corals and such, my Clarki's were not quite as bad but close.
This is a very generalized statement just going on my exp and observations.

Thanks that's exactly the kind of info I was looking for :-)

I think it's going to be between percs or occ's, I just really like their bright orange color

I would lean towards percs, either common or maybe SI/PNG, maybe even picasso if you like those.
Occs will be slower to accept a host, could even be a long time before they do, especially a non natural host.
I do really like the snowflakes.

My favorite percs are the PNG's. I' e never been a fan of the "designer" clowns. My perfect clown would be a regular PNG perc with nice thick black outlines, but not nearly as much as an onyx, I don't like it when the black connects. Being picky I know ;-) guess I'm on the hunt now

Everyone should be picky, and I know everyone has their own taste.
To me the random patterns fit my artistic mindset idea of free expression, but I know not everyone likes them, to each their own.
PNG and snowflakes are my next favorite.

Well it moved yesterday, let go and moved about 4" to the right in between the rock and glass. Hopefully it won't go too much further but I'm prepared to cater to it no matter where it settles. It's probably a good idea to let it get settled for a month or two before bothering it with clowns right?

I agree :)

Hard to say for sure.
I can say that I have witnessed my clowns actually encourage a struggling nem to open up and or feed it.
Sometimes the frustration in my clowns is so obvious, that they seem to want to have a nice fully open and happy nem as a means for a good shelter/protection.
I think both greatly benefit from each other.
If your nem was small, I would agree completely, but it does seem fairly big from pics.
I think if you got a smallish pair of clowns it would be fine.
I've kept nems and observed them many years now, and I've gotten pretty good at spotting proper placement, but even then I do expect a slight shift to adjust for both light and current, as yours sounds like it's doing.
I think a week of letting it settle is plenty.

Well he won't settle, just laying on top of the sandbed. It's expelled quite a bit of black waste. For the most part the mouth stays tight and he hasn't shrunk at all. I don't understand because he looks healthy but just won't dig in. Whenever I place it in a hole it just comes back out usually within a day.

Jarrod, how deep is your sandbed? Does Renee know you got are getting clowns??
