Finally my 90 gallon reef

thank you for answer.I have a 90g aquarium and I want to make the salt water. and still are hitting the road.

place at their disposal to make overflow a little tight and only they can make pipe is the 1''and wanted to know if I have enough flow through it.

I have 1 inch pipe on my frag tank that is over the rim for my return on it. You might need a little bigger pump for it.

are the Vho's in the way of the metal halides?
1 set of Vho's are pushed back and the other set is pushed forward so the middle is open and there is room between the bulbs. I have seen setups where the bulbs were alot closer and they didn't have any problems. The Vho's have a internal reflector that will protect them form the heat. I am going to just run the MH's for around 4 to 6 hours to help with growth, my main lights will be the Vho's.

It's really looking good man. What kind of salt mix should I buy for my 200 gallon tank
I am using Reef Crystals in my tanks because it is a little cheaper and I know alot of people that use Instant Ocean but the Cal and Mag level is lower then the RC's. There is a sticky in the Reef Chemistry forum that list the levels for different salt mixes and I know that they are real close for IO and RC. Some people will tell you this and some will tell you that, but it is what works for you. My opinion RC's is a good salt and it has worked for me so far. "Knock on Wood":thumbsup:

looking good! nice canopy!! wish i had one like it..wana make me one??? ha ha ha j/k looks really good! nice job
Thanks, I done the best that I could on it with what I had to work with. That was 1 place that I wished that I had know someone that makes cabinet so it would have been alittle better. "I am kind of a perfectionist" I am liking it better after a few days of it being on the tank.

I added my hammer from my frag tank yesterday and it is looking pretty good today. Color is way different from under the 10K MH bulb on my frag tank. It was more green in the frag tank now it is kind of a pinkish green in DT. Also I put in a sand sifting starfish Saturday, me and my wife went to Premium Aquatics to pick up a few things and I was talking about a brittle star and she wanted the sand sifter because of the color. I wish that I had read about it before I bought it but it seems to be going good, I will just have to feed alittle more so it won't starve.

Hammer "Cerith snail seems to like it:thumbsup:"

Need to do a water change and some clean up today, also some water testing to see if running Kalk has raised my Alk level much. I started running Kalk to raise my Ph a little was around 7.9 now with 1/2 tsp it is 8.0. Will do some testing and might go to 1 tsp.

Added 2 more corals out of my frag tank today after water change and maintenance.

Clown hosting torch coral

Clown hosting torch coral

Caught my black and white clown starting to host my neon green torch coral today. I believe this one is going to be the female of the pair, because it head butts the other out of the way and she is starting to get a little larger.

Looking great, I am tagging along. I am in the process of setting up a 90 gallon, just need a few more items before I can add water. Happy to see another 90.

Hey big mike the tank is looking awesome keep the pics coming, I am getting ready to start my 100 gallon soon too.

Today I received some fish, coral and invert from liveaquaria.com for the first time. Had never ordered anything like this before. I ordered a 2 inch tank raised Blue tang, Ora Dersa Clam, peach digi and green milli from Divers Den. I also got a medium Royal Gramma and a medium Skunk cleaner shrimp. I wasn't able to get any pics of shrimp or Gramma because both have them a hiding place. Everything came out at feeding time and ate well, I would say they were hungry from shipping. SPS went into my frag tank for safe keeping.

The Blue Tang is from Sustainable Aquatics™ Sustainable Island Tank Raised. I had seen some like this on pick of reef from pet solutions before but they were just 1.5 inches and this was a little bigger and was able to see it. This is my wife's fish that she really wanted and with it being tank raised I shouldn't have to really worry about it having Ich. "Knock on Wood"
