Finnex Heaters are JUNK

I'm sorry if you disagree but this is the 3rd Finnex heater to die dramatically on me and the 2nd to shock the crap out of me. Not one of them have been more than 2 years old.

Looks like they changed the design of their heaters. I have a couple of their older heaters and haven't had any problems.

Finnex Heaters are JUNK

Yeah I don't know if I got a bad batch or what.

I bought 10 to use in various systems and 3 have failed so far. They are all approaching 2 years so I just may pull them all.

30% failing not cool...

What's a good alternative to those and at good prices? I've read good things about Eheim, still the case?

Jeepers. Make sure you get yourself a grounding probe so you don't get zapped for the last time next time it happens while your replacing them!

My heaters are on an Apex, 2 heaters per system.

I don't use a grounding probe as these systems are in a separate room off my garage. I don't want the GFCI to trip and shutdown the return pump etc.

Your Apex could/would notify you of a power loss or even if just the return pump died but if you'd rather not have the safety precaution and enjoy the zaps then by all means lol
