I just talked to William, owner of The Jungle in Murfreesboro and he has now purchased Fins. So hopefully things will improve at Fins even more now. He did say he has a huge dry goods order coming in tomorrow :)

Also, the Jungle got the "Ruthies Award" in Murfreesboro as best pet store in town.....Yeah I know don't take much here :)

You bet me to the FYI announcement Norman. I stopped by there on my way home from school and talked to the guy working, William was not there. I can SE the Jungle becoming Fins Of Murfreesboro :-)

That would actually be kinda cool... Fins of Franklin and Fins of Murfreesboro... hmmmm.... Good idea!

Fins of franklin is co-owned by chris at the Aquatic Critter right?
So did he sell his share of the business?

It was co-owned, the critter & fins were pretty much the same owners, and now William has purchased the fins from them.

I spoke with Chris last night while I was at AC, he stated that he and his partner were selling Fins. I didn't know he owned it, but it sounded like part of the deal just wasn't worth it to him to keep an interest in it, but I'll keep my interpretations to myself.

Good luck to the new owners, I hope it does well.

i knew chris at critter was as he put it a "silent partner" in fins. talked to him yesterday for a good hour & he never mentioned getting out of it.

i haven't had too much dealings w/ the other stores, but have to say that chris is one of the nicest guys....always willing to give advice & never pressures you into buying something.

THAT is how you stay in business for 20 some years

I TOTALLY AGREE! Chris is a fantastic owner.
Sean of Emerald Bay is cut from the same cloth.

We're lucky to have those two in town.

Of course I am shure if someone had some extra cash they could offer Chris some $$ and they could buy the AC. :)

Good Idea!....BTW, how does your brother feel about moving to Tennessee? :D :D :D

you know, i really think it would take ALOT for chris to sell the critter.....you can tell by talking to him for extended periods that he truly loves it & i think that is part of the reason that store has lasted as long as it has

Do that wayne! You could instantly double the carrying capacity with your own tanks!

No, little bro'.......don't do that.;)

Well I wonder whats going to happen to Mike and Jennifer that worked for Tim/Chris when they owned Fins, they were both nice and knew a lot about this hobby. I would hope there would be a place for them with the new owner! With time as tough as they are right now and right b4 Christmas you don't want someone to lose their job. And it will also be nice to have another quality store to have a bigger selection of corals and supplies. I wish them luck in their new venture!
