fire and Ice zoa's

Got some fire and ice zoa's in a trade... wondering... I know that some zoa's change colors more or less vivid depending on how much light they get. So... wondering if anyone has had experience with these and if so where should I put them in a 55 with 2x 175 hamilton 10,000k's and two 48" VHO super actinics. Color supercedes growth. up at the top with the torts and millies or down at the bottom with the rics? or should I find the a shady spot?

how much light they get

and what "type" of light they get. i.e. MH (and what K rating), VHO, T5HO etc....

you've got enough light on your tank for them anywhere. i'd just start them out in your sand bed, in direct light and see how they do. move them around and experiment after they acclimate to your lights.

what type of lights were they under from where you got them?

you should be fine putting them anywhere in your tank. i have had some trouble though in the past acclimating zoas to my MUCH lower light (175w x2 w/ VHO's) when they were being blasted by 400 20k lights at a LFS right beside torts and tables.
