right on Bart! That is turning out great. looks like a head banger though...I could easily see myself coming ou tthe door and face-planting on the light box!

thanks Jonathan, unless you're 6.5' tall that trouble, but as for me 5'11" I'm good on that end and if my kids ever grow that tall then I will rebuild the rack hehe:eek2::eek1: :mixed: . another good thing had plan this weekend coming up. book a charter boat this Sunday for deep sea fishing so I am going after those tuna, snapper, cobia, and shark hehe. this will be a good break for me then working on my project.. :mixed: :rolleye1:

 I can see you doing that too!!!

good thing i am only 5'11", maybe with custom wooden block high heels:bounce3:  :bounce1:

they won't let us take snapper around here. so many rules. I love to fish for shark. Used to eat quite a bit of it when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sea bass is fun too if you can't get the tuna to bite. got into them so thick at the mouth of the Strait of Juan de Fuca we couldn't troll for them. Had to cast into what amounted to giant bait balls of bass. love days like that!

omg snapper are the best, my cousin fish farm measuring 100yard x 100yard raise strip bass where fishing is so easy sizes about 3-5lbs, and all the uncle's have shrimp farm.

we get shrimp out of the Hood Canal that is seriously the best I have ever had, and I have been in the food business most of my life.

The problem is that the "season" is a Wednesday, a Saturday, a Wednesday, and a Saturday, from 9 am to noon. You can only have one trap per license and I believe the max on-board is 4 or 5. It's rediculous but the shrimp are so good we just go get them. The quota I believe is 40 shrimp per license. No, I am NOT kidding. I have been boarded 2 or 3 times too. Anyway, they never seem to find the zip-locks in the setee...but man, if you forget about them, what a smell!

wow.. coming to gether nicely...Is there anything you would have done different? I doubt since everything looks great, but just checking

thanks, yeah i would build the tank deeper instead of 48"w should have gone 72"w and, 30"H will be 36"H, this will completely satisfied me than, but i'm good for now:lolspin:

CB..Your light canopy looks super! One question.. how are you going to deal with the heat that builds up from all of your lights and are you going to line the inside of your canopy with white Formica to help reflect all of the light?

Keep up the good work and the pictures coming!

thanks, taking a break for the weekend but as far cooling goes canopy will be open from the back, there will be 8 4" cooling fans mounted inside at the top that will blow heat upwards. I will have two vent fan right above my tank to remove any humidity and heat (on timer), also plumb to the top of sump to remove any there also.

3 lumenarc III pendants will be mounted 5" above water and aluminum plate will be mounted around the perimeter to channeled down the light to prevent any heat on eurobrace, will also give the MH better reflectivity.
8 6' vho's will be mounted 3" above water on aluminum tubes with plate, this should reflect pretty good but will try first then maybe do something else if it doesn't work out.
9 PFO moonlight led's will be mounted 5" above water same as MH

Are you going to have these 8 fans all set up as exhaust fans? My suggestion would be to mount some fans on the sides as intake fans as well.

This whole thread is blowing my mind! We need to introduce our wives to each other, maybe some of yours would rub on mine. She'd kill me if I did something like this!!!

I just found your thread and I have to say I am just as impressed as everyone else. You have obviously done your homework and will be avoiding all the noobie mistakes most of us have made. Kudos!

ok here are some updates finally since I have been busy working.
all the trim molding are done and cabinets doors hinges are also installed. I am still debating if any molding will be installed around the cabinets doors below the tank, so if any cabinet builders here up for any suggestions. base molding w/quarter round will be installed to match the rest of the house.
